Following in the footsteps of LaVar Ball, I will attempt to will these things into existence. While I do not want to go to Phoenix if I am traded, I honestly believe the following things should be a thing that we could consume as a film or a television program.
As we all know Turner Classic Movies should be the future broadcast home of the Acadmey Awards. It seems like a match made in heaven. I don’t necessarily understand the pressure that ABC is placing upon this year’s producers to produce a show under three hours since live events are tanking all over broadcast television. Look at the early numbers for the Super Bowl! It was the lowest rated game in ten years. Golden Globes were down this year as well. It doesn’t make sense to stick with traditional broadcast television.
Now here’s a list of things that should be things:
Lone Wolf and Cub – The Series
It was reported back in 2017 that Paramount was working on a remake of the manga created by Kazuo Koike and Goseki Kojima. Justin Lin is or was going to produce and possibly direct with Andrew Kevin Walker on board as the writer. A movie would be cool, but I believe a TV show could be more interesting. While it does not have to be a literal adaption of the source material, but there are 28 volumes to mine stories from. This particular project seems like a perfect fit for Netflix with its goal of world wide domination.
Easy Rawlins – The Series
This seems like a no brainer.
